PROGRAMME for 2011

 Postawy - Belarus

  • Sponsor the completion of new facilities for youth – scouting, sports and recreation rooms - currently being funded and developed by the parish church of sw. Antoniego Padewskiego.
  • Gimnazjum/School – sponsor the completion of project developed around the history of the battles in the region of Postawy-Narocz during WWI under the guidance of the local historian Igor Prakopowich.
  • School No.1 – award the ROOTS PRIZE to pupils who come top in the study of English language in each of the year-groups.
  • Invite the students from all schools in the Postawy region to participate in the ROOTS PRIZE competition for the best story submitted in the English language.

 Baranowicze - Belarus

  • Spoleczna Szkola Podstawowa – invite the pupils and students of the school to participate in the ROOTS PRIZE competition by submitting their written work in Polish (on a subject yet to be agreed with the school).
  • Sponsor a team-work project at the SSP school on the subject of “forgotten histories” (zapomniane historie) in the Baranowicze district and/or “our grandparents reminisce” (wspomnienia dziadkow).
  • Invite the students of local Secondary School to participate in the ROOTS PRIZE competition by submitting their work in English (on a subject yet to be agreed with the School).

Braslaw - Belarus

  • In cooperation with the local PMS sponsor via the ROOTS PRIZE the study of local history and Polish language.

 Karaganda - Kazakhstan

  • Continue the ROOTS AID sponsorship of humanitarian work and services provided by the Sisters in the district of Fedorowka.

 Chzkalov  - Kazakhstan

  • Continue the sponsorship of scouting and other social events as they arise.

 England

Sponsor via the ROOTS PRIZE a variety of projects at Saturday-schools to promote the study of English language, history and heritage amongst recent arrivals in this country
